What This Job Involves
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems (including UPS, generators, chillers, CRAC units, PDUs, and switchgear)
- Monitor building management systems (BMS), DCIM tools, and alarm platforms to ensure optimal performance and immediate response to anomalies
- Execute safe switching procedures, load bank testing, and emergency response protocols in accordance with SOPs and change management policies
- Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and compliance records for all operational activities
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to support facility upgrades, audits, and incident investigations
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, environmental, and security standards at all times

Required
Desired experience and technical skills
- Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
- Proven experience (typically 2+ years) operating or maintaining critical infrastructure in data centres, colocation facilities, or similarly mission-critical environments
- Strong understanding of power distribution architectures (e.g., N+1, 2N), cooling methodologies, and redundancy principles
- Certifications such as EPA 608, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or relevant vendor training (e.g., Vertiv, Schneider, Cummins) are highly desirable
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by 24/7 operations
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear communication abilities
