Job Responsibilities
- Assist the client in supervising and monitoring on-site maintenance, repair and improvement works carried out by external contractors, ensuring all works are completed safely, on schedule, with good quality, and without any impact or risk of disturbance to data centre operations
- Monitor the day-to-day operation of critical systems, including but not limited to chiller plants, UPS / STS / PDU systems, CRAC / CRAH units and Building Management System (BMS), to meet users’ operational expectations
- Supervise on-site technical staff in performing daily inspections, system checks and operational logging, and promptly report any alarms, faults or abnormalities of critical systems to the client
- Respond efficiently and effectively to alarms or emergency calls, identify the cause and impact of incidents, assess urgency and severity levels, and implement the established escalation procedures and workflows accordingly
- Manage work orders, asset records and inventory control through the Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system
- Take the lead in carrying out repair and maintenance works as directed by the client, and provide regular updates on work progress
Working Hours
- 09:00 – 18:00, 44 hours per week, including Saturday and Sunday
Requirements
- Education: Degree or Higher Diploma in building services engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or other relevant disciplines
- Language: Fluent Cantonese and simple English
- License: Registered electrical Worker (Grade B is preferred); Green Card
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of solid experience in handling installation, operation, maintenance and repair of mission critical equipment, including but not limited to: Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS); Static Transfer Switch (STS); Power Distribution Unit (PDU); Computer Room Air-Conditioning Unit (CRAC); Computer Room Air-Handling Unit (CRAH); Building Management System (BMS) and mechanical, electrical & plumbing (“MEP”) installations in data centre, with 3 years at supervisory level
