Data Engineer ETL

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management and business partners to understand and implement use case requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using industry-standard tools.
• Optimize complex SQL queries for efficient data processing and transformation.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across various systems.
• Participate in Agile methodologies, including Scrum ceremonies, to ensure iterative development and delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to maintain seamless operations.

Skills

• Proven experience in data engineering and ETL/ELT development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools like IBM DataStage or similar platforms.
• Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
• Experience with job scheduling tools such as Control-M.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and performance tuning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Greenplum or other MPP databases.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
