Overview
Kahuna Workforce Solutions is seeking a mid-career Data Engineer to support the implementation of Analytics and Search of our proprietary software, Kahuna, that bridges the gap between core human resources processes and operational development to satisfy the requirements for competency assurance and competency development. As a Kahuna Data Engineer, you’ll help design, implement and deliver Search and Data Analytics for proprietary products that align with custom requirements. The Data Engineer requires strong business acumen with technical expertise. The ideal candidate is an accountable team player who is eager to make an impact.
What Youll Be Doing Assist with net-new features and functionality for Data Analytics and Search: define, design, develop, test, implement, train and support. Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas, create options and find solutions. Migrate customer data and existing analytics to the new platform. Liaise with our product development team for new features. Adhere to company’s information security and privacy policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. What Youll Need for This Role Data modeling experience. Strong analytical skill set. Ability to analyze and manipulate complex data sets. Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills. Software engineering principles and practices. Bachelors or Masters in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field. Technical Skill Set TSQL: at least 3 years of experience. Programming (.Net-C# and/or Python): at least 3 years of experience. Relational Databases (SQL Server): at least 3 years of experience. Strong Software engineering skills: at least 3 years of experience. ETL experience using Talend: at least 1 year of experience. NoSQL/Document databases (MongoDB, ElasticSearch): at least 6 months experience. Understands data architecture principles. Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software solutions, systems, or products.
