Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure, implementing projects and technologies, and proposing innovative solutions to enhance our data capabilities.

Internship Offer

We will pay the full amount of HKD 11490 per 30 days (or HKD 383 per day for selected intern). The company will provide shuttle bus to designated locations and free lunch at company's canteen.

Return Offer

Outstanding interns who successfully complete (approximately) 90 days of internship will be converted into full-time permanent employee, with a waiver on probation period. In Summer 2025, we have converted 1 final year intern to permanent employee, and 2 non-final year interns into part-time employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Development

: Assist our team to design and build scalable and robust data infrastructure, including databases, virtual machines (VMs), and large language models (LLMs).

• Hands-on Implementations:

Collaborate with teammates to code design and implement data projects that align with team’s goals.

• Knowledge Sharing

: Prepare educational materials to share knowledge learnt from schools within the team to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Maintenance

: Assist to maintain and monitor the reliability and performance of data systems and pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field.

• Basic knowledge of cloud services, virtualisation, and data processing frameworks.

• Basic understanding with large language models (LLMs) and their applications is a plus.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills /

Qualifications

• Final year undergraduate

who can finish their graduation requirement before June 2026 will be given highest priority.

• Any minor

or business related courses on transcript will be a plus.

• Problem-Solving

: Analytical skills with a focus on identifying and resolving data-related challenges.

• Machine Learning

: Basic understanding of machine learning concepts, particularly in relation to LLMs.

• Programming Languages

: Proficiency in languages such as Python, SQL and at least 1 compiled language.

• Database Management

: Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).

• Cloud Platforms

: Basic experience with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.

• Version Control

: Proficiency in using version control systems like Git.
