Day to Day

Your primary focus will be on integrating diverse data sources into unified data models that support analytics throughout Glassdoor and selected Indeed functions. This is a technical position where you'll define updates to our data lake model and establish efficient, scalable processes to enrich it.

Utilizing your hands-on experience in data processing and modeling, you will excel in areas such as data modeling, automation testing, and developing reliable data pipelines. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing data pipeline solutions (ETLs) to centralize data from various sources into our warehouse, working closely with diverse teams to align on data model enhancements. You will offer documentation, training, and support to users of the data warehouse while participating in an on-call rotation to manage critical pipeline operations.

Your efforts will play a vital role in our mission to help individuals find employment by providing essential insights into the job market and driving innovations that facilitate connections between job seekers and employers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute dependable and efficient ETL data pipelines that integrate information from multiple sources into our Data Warehouse.
• Implement data model modifications that align with established warehouse standards.
• Deliver training, documentation, and consultation services for data warehouse users.

Skills/Competencies

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience, or an advanced degree without experience.
• In-depth experience with relational, NoSQL, and SQL databases.
• Proficient in workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Familiarity with data processing and streaming technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Hive, Kafka, Spark, Flink).
• Passionate about data and enthusiastic for learning new technologies.
• Proven software engineering skills and coding abilities.

Salary Range Transparency

Tier 1: 99,000 - 149,000 USD/year

Tier 2: 110,000 - 166,000 USD/year

Tier 3: 122,000 - 182,000 USD/year

Tier 4: 138,000 - 208,000 USD/year

Offers are typically situated between the lower range and midpoint, with actual compensation based on skills, experience, and suitability as determined during the interview.
