Job Summary
We are excited to invite an experienced Analytics Engineer with a quality-first approach to join our Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain comprehensive data models, pipelines, and analytics infrastructure across various domains. You will ensure that the data produced is not just functional, but also reliable, well-documented, and trustworthy. Your work will involve using modern data stack tools and AI to enhance both individual and team productivity.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of analytics engineering experience, strong proficiencies in dbt and SQL, and a proven track record in overseeing vendor and offshore delivery models. You will understand data quality as a continuous discipline embedded in every model, test, and deployment decision. Your passion will be to enhance system reliability, and you will be skilled in using AI tools as a key part of your engineering workflow. Collaborating effectively with service partners while maintaining high standards will also be critical.
Responsibilities:
- Hands-On Build & Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain dbt models, SQL transformations, and data pipelines that produce clean, analytics-ready datasets for reporting, analysis, ML/AI, and strategic initiatives.
- Build and optimize dimensional data models for self-service analytics and advanced use cases including machine learning.
- Own high-complexity internal workstreams such as semantic layer definitions and metrics standardization.
- Support query performance optimization and improve data warehouse efficiency.
- Develop and maintain thorough documentation of data models, business logic, and data lineage.
- Technical Quality & Service Partner Oversight: Serve as the internal technical quality gate for service partner deliverables, ensuring adherence to data modeling standards and documentation expectations.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools for scalable code review, focusing on high-risk areas.
- Enhance the team’s data observability strategy through monitoring tools to catch anomalies before they affect downstream processes.
- Create and maintain pre-deployment checklists and release criteria.
- Define data contracts between producers and consumers to minimize silent failures.
- Mentor service partner resources and team members to enhance delivery quality.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with Business Analysts and Product Managers to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
- Work with Data Engineering to ensure reliable data pipelines and validate that solutions meet operational goals.
- Provide a trusted technical voice in program delivery discussions.
Minimum Qualification:
- 3+ years in analytics engineering or a related role with a focus on transforming raw data into analytics-ready datasets.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and dbt.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts.
- Experience working with service partners and reviewing technical outputs.
- Familiarity with data quality monitoring concepts.
- Active use of AI coding assistants in daily work.
- Knowledge of version control using Git.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for technical feedback.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

- Experience with data observability tools.
- Familiarity with data contracts and SLAs.
- Experience with CI/CD in dbt projects.
- Knowledge of Python for data scripting.
- Experience with data orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with business intelligence and visualization tools.
- Understanding of machine learning workflows.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or related environments.
- Experience in event tracking or marketing analytics.
- Collaboration with Data Science teams on ML projects.
- 5+ years of cumulative experience in analytics engineering or a related field.
