About This Opportunity:

This is a Data Quality Specialist (aka Content Analyst) role focused on maintaining and updating medical necessity databases by applying changes from source materials and ensuring accuracy and consistency. The position also involves routine audits and data validation, identifying discrepancies, and escalating issues as needed.

You’ll learn and apply content management processes, working more independently after training while still collaborating with the team to support quality and efficiency. There’s also a strong emphasis on ongoing training and development to build knowledge of clinical content, systems, and standards.

Things You’ll Do Here:

  • Update and maintain medical necessity databases by reviewing source materials and applying required changes accurately and consistently.
  • Audit assigned datasets to ensure data integrity, completeness, and alignment with current clinical guidelines and source documentation.
  • Compare internal database content against external sources and change reports, identifying discrepancies and making appropriate updates.
  • Execute high-volume, detail-oriented data entry tasks with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Learn and apply Content Team processes, standards, and data governance practices.
  • Work closely with Content Coordinators and senior Content Analysts (II–III) to support content updates and resolve questions.
  • Participate in training sessions and continuing education activities to build knowledge of clinical content and systems.
  • Manage assigned workload independently after training, while participating in regular team check-ins and seeking guidance as needed.
  • Identify and escalate data issues, inconsistencies, or uncertainties to appropriate team members.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and data management standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • 1+ prior experience in data entry, healthcare content, medical billing/coding, or a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and data validation tasks.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn internal systems and tools.
  • Comfortable working with structured data, comparing information across sources, and applying updates consistently.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with internal team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to learn new processes, tools, and content areas in a structured environment.
  • Ability to work independently after training, following established guidelines, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify discrepancies and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Positive, reliable, and self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

A plus if you have…

  • Associate’s degree in healthcare, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Exposure to medical terminology, coding, or clinical guidelines (through education or training).

Where You’ll Work: This is a fully remote position, and we’ll provide all the necessary equipment!

  • Work Environment: You’ll need a quiet workspace that is free from distractions.
  • Technology: Reliable internet connection—if you can use streaming services, you’re good to go!
  • Security: Adherence to company security protocols, including the use of VPNs, secure passwords, and company-approved devices/software.
  • Location: You must be US based, in a location where you can work effectively and comply with company policies such as HIPAA.
