About the role
We’re looking for a Data Science Intern based in Hong Kong to help turn raw commerce data into real decisions. You’ll work closely with engineers and product teams to:
- Build and test statistical models to forecast product sales, calculate demand, and analyze pricing strategies
- Extract and clean data from our PostgreSQL and MariaDB databases
- Write simple statistical scripts that plug into our AI agents as decision tools
- Analyze user behavior and market patterns, then explain what actually matters
- Track model performance against real business outcomes and improve it
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
- Comfortable with SQL and working with structured datasets
- Can use Python (pandas, NumPy, etc.) or R to analyze data
Preferred Qualification
- Experience working with real datasets (projects, internships, or research)
- Able to explain data insights clearly to non-technical teammates
- Curious about e-commerce, pricing, and how businesses actually run
