Data Scientist

Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist/Applied Scientist to develop and implement cutting-edge machine learning solutions for our travel and events platform. This role will focus on building scalable AI-driven solutions to enhance customer experience and drive business value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems

• Build and optimize large-scale natural language processing solutions

• Create efficient data pipelines and scalable architectures for AI applications

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams including Travel Operations, Supplier Category Teams, and Travel Technology team to support data-driven decision making and improve business processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in applied machine learning and deep learning

• Strong expertise in Python and ML frameworks

• Extensive experience with Large Language Models and transformer architectures

• Proven track record of deploying ML models to production

• Strong proficiency with AWS services (Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, ECS, S3)

• Experience with MLOps practices and tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) architectures

• Knowledge of vector databases and semantic search

• Expertise in prompt engineering and fine-tuning language models

• Experience with containerization and microservices architecture

• Background in travel industry or related domains

• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $85.00/hr.
