Responsibilities
- Collaborate as part of a central insights team to develop frameworks that deepen the client’s understanding of player behavior and game dynamics.
- Formulate and test hypotheses about the relationships between player sentiment, engagement, and monetization, exploring both leading and lagging indicators.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and build statistical models to connect complex sentiment data with player telemetry for the same audiences.
- Transform and prepare longitudinal survey and other complex datasets for robust analysis.
- Advise on survey design and methodology to optimize data quality and analysis potential.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field with 3+ years of relevant industry experience; or M.S. with 4–6+ years; or B.S. with 6–8+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Python and SQL for large-scale data analysis, including work in distributed environments (e.g., Spark or Databricks).
- Experience in exploratory data analysis using both ordinal and continuous data to derive meaningful insights and inform business decisions.
- Expertise in causal inference methods applied to observational panel data (e.g., fixed effects, IPW).
- Strong background in modeling longitudinal sentiment data, including hierarchical or latent growth models.
