Essential Functions
Analytics & Business Collaboration (70%)
- Work closely with stakeholders to align on business objectives and KPIs, designing analytical solutions that enhance decision-making and drive positive results.
- Analyze data to identify anomalies and deliver actionable insights to support business operations.
- Conduct thorough analyses with available tools to shape strategic directions.
- Measure, test, and predict the effects of organizational initiatives on business performance.
- Regularly prepare and present reports and dashboards to executive leadership.
- Boost organizational efficiency by accelerating the conversion of data into actionable insights.
- Address ad hoc data requests from business partners to provide analytical support.
- Lead initiatives that maximize data utilization for performance management.
Development, Machine Learning & Maintenance (30%)
- Develop and assess supervised and unsupervised machine learning models for outcome prediction and customer segmentation.
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy machine learning models in production environments.
- Oversee the management of automated ETL processes and maintain BI & database servers alongside IT personnel.
- Enhance business intelligence capabilities for user-friendliness and accessibility.
- Participate in projects aimed at bolstering data governance, master data management, and overall BI efficacy.
- Ensure data integrity through ongoing validation of data sources and collaborative issue resolution.
- Create algorithms to cleanse and standardize diverse datasets.
- Integrate new data sources to improve reliability and accessibility.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline is required.
- 2-5 years of experience in a role blending business acumen with technical responsibilities, focusing on development and results delivery is preferred.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills through previous Data Science projects.
- Experience in training and implementing machine learning models is essential.
- Proficient programming in Python.
- Advanced database knowledge and SQL expertise.
- Extensive familiarity with Business Intelligence tools like PowerBI or Tableau.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of common data formats including CSV, JSON, XML, etc.
- Able to navigate a dynamic environment characterized by change and ambiguity.
- Competent in managing large, complex datasets effectively.
- Strong retail insight and business acumen to guide analytical insights.
- Proven ability to narrate stories through data and engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Skilled at juggling multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
