Job Title: Data Scientist || Indianapolis, IN || Remote
Summary:
Analyze complex data and build data-driven solutions to generate insights, support decision-making, and improve public health outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets and apply statistical/ML techniques
- Develop prototypes, dashboards, and data-driven applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into solutions
- Optimize data architecture, ETL processes, and reporting
- Mentor junior data scientists and provide technical guidance
- Build and maintain data pipelines and code repositories (GitHub)
- Create visualizations and communicate insights effectively
- Support and enhance existing data solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s + 2+ years / Master’s / 4+ years experience
- Strong programming in Python, R, SQL
- Knowledge of statistics (regression, distributions, tests)
- Experience with machine learning techniques
- Strong data manipulation and analytical skills
- Experience with dashboards/web apps (Shiny, Dash, Flask, Streamlit)
Preferred:
- Experience with geospatial data, Docker, Kubernetes, Neo4j
- Strong visualization and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience in mentoring or leading data initiatives
