Maltem Asia is seeking a Data Scientist_SAP for a Client based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Data Management
- Design and develop scalable architecture and data pipelines for complex, heterogeneous datasets (including SAP and non-SAP sources)
- Ensure solutions align with IA objectives and business requirements
- Build secure, efficient, and high-performing data pipelines in collaboration with technical teams
- Develop data lake and analytics platforms to support audit use cases
Data Analytics & Problem Solving
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights
- Define and maintain data lineage to trace data sources and investigate issues
- Apply quantitative and analytical techniques to support business and audit decisions
- Collaborate with data teams to resolve complex technical challenges
Security & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with data security standards, including handling of PII (Personally Identifiable Information)
- Implement secure data management practices across the data lifecycle
Business Decision Support
- Partner with Internal Audit teams to analyze large datasets and trends
- Deliver insights that enhance risk assessment, controls, and operational decision-making
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or related roles
- Strong expertise in building data pipelines and managing data lakes, including SAP data environments
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA data and analytical modeling is highly preferred
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R)
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience leveraging Generative AI to accelerate analytics and solution delivery
- Proven ability to deliver business value through data-driven solutions
