Design Engineer ( Electrical and Instrumentation )

Job Responsibilities:
- Engineering principles, physics and materials science for the analysis, design, installation and Maintenance of electrical systems.
- Reading technical drawings, and understand electrical theories and concepts.
- Electrical design engineers using software programs to design and perfect new electrical systems.
- Make changes to fix any issues, and create specifications and other details for these systems.
- Throughout the design process, electrical design engineers are responsible for documenting specifications, schematics, and diagrams regarding their projects. They must also produce reports addressing project progress and other details for managerial staff.
- Typical duties will include but not be limited to the preparation and/or modification of the following:
Project specifications, project proposals, calculations, plans, design, and layout.
- Performing design and calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
- Layout and details portions of projects using schematic layout by project lead
engineer. May be assigned responsibility for schematic or conceptual layouts when qualified.
- Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- 2- 5 + years of experience with advanced technical knowledge in Electrical engineering, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing
education
- Proficient in PCB bring-up, debugging, verification testing, and performance characterization
- Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Auto Cad or other drafting software
