Job Description

Job Title

DevSecOps Engineer (CI/CD & Secure Pipeline Automation)

Overview / Summary

We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a web portal and data platform project by building and maintaining secure, reliable, and automated delivery pipelines across development, test, and production environments. This role focuses on integrating application build, test, security, and deployment processes into the client’s CI/CD infrastructure to ensure controlled, repeatable, and production-ready releases. The engineer will collaborate closely with development, architecture, QA, and client DevOps teams to support secure software delivery and smooth environment promotion.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD Pipeline & Release Automation

  • Integrate application build, test, and deployment processes into client-provided CI/CD pipeline infrastructure
  • Configure and maintain build scripts, artifact packaging, versioning, and artifact repository management
  • Support repeatable and reliable release workflows across development, test, and production environments
  • Coordinate deployment automation and release readiness across project teams

Security & Compliance in the Pipeline

  • Implement and maintain pipeline security tooling, including SAST, SCA, and SBOM generation as required pipeline gates
  • Configure automated accessibility compliance checks as blocking stages within the pipeline
  • Support remediation workflows related to client-owned DAST and penetration testing activities
  • Ensure secure delivery practices align with project and client standards

Environment Management & Deployment Strategy

  • Configure and maintain multi-environment deployment workflows with controlled one-way promotion
  • Implement blue-green or rolling deployment strategies to reduce production risk and support near zero-downtime releases
  • Configure automated post-deployment smoke testing and failure alerting
  • Implement automated rollback procedures for failed deployments
  • Maintain environment-specific configuration and deployment settings across the release lifecycle

Secrets, Configuration & Operational Support

  • Manage application credentials and secrets using cloud-native secrets management services
  • Maintain environment-specific configuration practices, including structured configuration and .env management
  • Troubleshoot pipeline configuration issues and resolve build/deployment blockers
  • Partner with client DevOps teams to ensure successful pipeline integration and operational alignment

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline configuration and automation
  • Experience supporting application build, packaging, artifact versioning, and release workflows
  • Experience implementing secure DevOps / DevSecOps practices in software delivery pipelines
  • Experience with SAST, SCA, SBOM generation, or similar pipeline-based security controls
  • Experience managing multi-environment deployment workflows across development, test, and production
  • Experience implementing rollback, smoke testing, and deployment monitoring/alerting
  • Experience with secrets management and environment-specific configuration handling
  • Strong troubleshooting skills related to build and deployment pipeline issues
  • Ability to work closely with engineering teams and client DevOps stakeholders in a structured delivery environment
