Director- ESG Risk Management

Amcore is seeking a Director of ESG Risk Management in Dubai to advise on ESG risk and support sustainable finance initiatives. Key responsibilities include developing ESG risk strategies, conducting due diligence, and engaging with stakeholders. Candidates should have experience in ESG risk, preferably in financial services, and a passion for sustainability. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of ₹100K–₹5M annually.

Acre is working with one of the leading global banks to help them hire a Director of ESG Risk. This is a unique role working closely with the sustainable finance front office team to help them grow the business while managing ESG opportunity and risks.You will be responsible for:Providing strategic ESG risk advisory and transaction support for the bank and its clients Driving the ESG risk management strategy and due diligence for the sustainable finance business Working with the central and second line risk teams to build frameworks and policies to manage current and emerging ESG risks Building an in-house centre of excellence to act as subject matter expert on all ESG risk issues Building and managing relationships with external stakeholders to represent the bank's views on ESG and emerging trendsThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:Strong experience in ESG risk and advisory with some exposure to industrial and hard to abate sectors Experience in conducting detailed environmental and social due diligence Ability to work in matrix teams and influence senior stakeholders to drive change Experience in banking or financial services will be beneficial but not essential for this roleThis is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high impact role with a leading global bank with very ambitious sustainability goals and a strong commitment towards green & transition finance.
