Director, Global Process Owner – Quote-to-Cash

MongoDB is seeking a Director, Global Process Owner (GPO) – Quote-to-Cash to serve as the single-threaded owner of the company’s end-to-end Quote-to-Cash process architecture across Cloud, Enterprise Advanced (EA), and Professional Services.

This role is responsible for designing and governing scalable, durable Quote-to-Cash processes that support MongoDB’s evolving business models, product offerings, and global growth. The Director, GPO – Quote-to-Cash establishes global process standards, resolves design tradeoffs across functional pillars, and ensures Finance processes scale efficiently as transaction complexity and volume increase.

This leader acts as Finance’s primary process design partner to IT, Product, Engineering, Deal Strategy, and Go-to-Market teams, ensuring that new products, monetization models, and operational workflows are implemented in a controlled and scalable manner.

Importantly, this role does not run the close or manage transactional accounting or operational processing teams. Instead, the role focuses on long-term process architecture, operating model design, and structural simplification across the Quote-to-Cash ecosystem.

The ideal candidate combines deep understanding of Quote-to-Cash processes with strong systems thinking, operational design capability, and cross-functional influence in a high-growth public-company environment.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Quote-to-Cash Process Ownership

Serve as the single global owner of MongoDB’s Quote-to-Cash process architecture across:

Cloud / consumption-based offerings

Enterprise Advanced (EA)

Professional Services

Define and maintain globally consistent process standards, governance models, and design principles across the Quote-to-Cash lifecycle

Ensure process decisions are scalable across evolving products, pricing models, geographies, and routes to market

Process Architecture & Operating Model Design

Design scalable end-to-end workflows spanning:

Deal structure and approvals

Order flows

Billing and invoicing

Revenue-impacting operational workflows

Customer lifecycle transitions and renewals

Identify structural inefficiencies, fragmented ownership models, and manual dependencies across the Quote-to-Cash ecosystem

Drive simplification and standardization efforts that reduce operational complexity and improve scalability

Cross-Functional Governance & Tradeoff Resolution

Act as Finance’s primary design partner to:

IT and Finance Systems

Product and Engineering

Deal Strategy and Go-to-Market Operations

Revenue Accounting and Order-to-Cash

Resolve cross-functional tradeoffs between process scalability, customer experience, operational efficiency, and control requirements

Establish governance mechanisms for prioritizing and evaluating Quote-to-Cash process changes

New Products & Monetization Models

Lead the operational process design for new products, pricing constructs, and monetization models

Ensure new revenue motions are operationally supportable before launch and can scale without disproportionate manual intervention

Partner with Technical Revenue Accounting and operational teams to ensure process flows support accounting, billing, and reporting requirements

Transformation & Continuous Improvement

Build and maintain a multi-year Quote-to-Cash transformation roadmap aligned with company growth objectives

Drive initiatives focused on:

Reducing manual intervention

Improving workflow automation

Clarifying ownership boundaries

Increasing operational scalability

Establish process metrics and governance frameworks to measure process health and organizational efficiency

Success Metrics

Success in this role is measured by

Sustained reduction in manual intervention and workflow exceptions

Fewer cross-functional escalations tied to process ambiguity or design gaps

Improved scalability of Quote-to-Cash operations as the business grows

Stable Finance operational headcount relative to revenue growth

Successful operationalization of new business models without downstream disruption

Qualifications

Required

10+ years of experience in Quote-to-Cash, Revenue Operations, Revenue Accounting Operations, Finance Transformation, or related functions

Deep understanding of end-to-end Quote-to-Cash workflows in a SaaS or consumption-based business model

Proven experience designing and scaling global operational processes in a high-growth public-company environment

Strong cross-functional leadership skills with experience influencing Product, Engineering, IT, Finance, and GTM organizations

Demonstrated ability to resolve complex operational tradeoffs and drive organizational alignment

Preferred

Experience supporting cloud or usage-based monetization models

Experience leading enterprise-scale process transformation initiatives

Familiarity with revenue accounting and billing operational requirements under ASC 606

Experience operating in complex multi-system environments
