We are seeking a Director, Group Operational Risk to join the Group’s Corporate Office in Hong Kong. This role is responsible for the enterprise design, governance, and assurance of operational risk frameworks across occupational safety and health, travel risk, intelligence and threat management, and incident governance, reporting to the Vice President, Group Security and Operational Risk.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own the Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) framework, ensuring consistent standards, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across all properties.
  • Provide Group level oversight of injury management, predictive risk analysis, and prevention strategies, ensuring systemic OSH risks are identified and addressed.
  • Ensure independent monitoring and assurance over high risk activities and material OSH issues across operations.
  • Lead the annual Group Security and Operational Risk audit programme covering OSH, physical security, travel risk, incident management, and emergency preparedness.
  • Establish audit scope, methodologies, and assurance standards, track remediation actions, conduct gap analyses.
  • Govern and oversee the Travel Risk Programme, including policy standards, monitoring of emerging threats, and assurance that appropriate mitigation measures are in place.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and dissemination of security and operational intelligence, translating insights into enterprise level risk mitigation, preparedness, and scenario planning.
  • Provide governance over incident management systems, dashboards, and analytics, delivering insights to support executive decision making and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the Group wide security awareness and capability framework, sponsoring training standards and leadership engagement to embed risk ownership and strengthen risk culture.
  • Lead enterprise operational risk initiatives, framework rollouts, and VP directed strategic projects, providing senior oversight on complex or cross functional risk matters.

General Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; professional OSH or risk certifications preferred.
  • Experience in a global, multinational, matrixed organisation, with strong stakeholder management capability.
  • Regional or international experience managing security, safety, or operational risk across diverse markets.
  • Strong expertise in security/operational risk audits, regulatory compliance, and assurance frameworks.
  • Proven experience in designing and governing enterprise security and risk programmes.
  • Hands on exposure to key domains including intelligence and threat management, travel safety, and incident response.
  • Demonstrated capability in crisis management, resilience planning, and major incident leadership.
  • Experience developing and managing dashboards, metrics and executive reporting, with the ability to leverage technology and data analytics to enhance security programs.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and judgement skills.
  • Proactive and a strong team player
  • Willingness to travel for business as required.
