Director, Insurance Risk/Compliance (Commercial Real Estate/Construction)
Our client is a well-established REIT that spans the US. They are seeking a seasoned CRE finance professional to lead their Insurance Compliance division in NYC.
Key details:
- Brand new addition to the team (team expansion)
- Seeking 10+ years of experienc
- 5+ in leadership (ideally)
- Insurance risk/compliance experience adjacent with commercial real estate transactions (construction especially) is key.
- Strong Multifamily CRE transaction experience is highly preferred
- Seeking a hands on/strategic leader
- Strong Property & Casualty experience is a must
- NYC office: 4-5 days in
- Bachelors required
- Will be managing a team of compliance specialists and analysts (team of 5-6)
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement the company’s insurance compliance framework, policies, and procedures to align with regulatory and investor requirements.
- Partner with executive leadership to set strategy for risk mitigation and insurance compliance oversight.
- Represent the company with regulators, auditors, and investors on insurance-related matters.
- Review Investor insurance guidelines and investor loan documents to establish baseline requirements.
- Review Investor insurance guidelines and investor specific loan documents to establish baseline requirements.
- Oversee the review, tracking, and monitoring of borrower and portfolio insurance coverage to ensure compliance with loan agreements and regulatory standards.
