About the Role

We are seeking a Director, Issues & Crisis Intelligence to lead media intelligence, reputation monitoring, and crisis analytics programs for high-profile organizations.

This role sits at the intersection of data analytics, communications strategy, and risk management, transforming large volumes of media, social, and stakeholder data into actionable insights that guide executive decision-making during critical moments.

This is a hands-on leadership role managing a team of 3–6 analysts while serving as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of issues, crisis, and reputation intelligence programs

Design and oversee media monitoring and listening strategies across social, earned, and digital channels

Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations

Build and manage real-time dashboards and reporting frameworks

Develop early-warning systems and trend detection models to identify emerging risks

Support real-time crisis response, scenario planning, and post-incident analysis

Serve as a client-facing advisor to senior leadership and stakeholders

Ensure data quality, analytical rigor, and compliance standards

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts (3–6 direct reports)

Drive innovation through AI-enabled monitoring and intelligence workflows

Qualifications

7+ years in analytics, business intelligence, or media intelligence

2+ years of team leadership experience

Background in crisis communications, issues management, or reputation strategy

Strong experience with media monitoring and narrative analysis

Experience working in PR, communications, or client-facing environments

Proficiency in Python, SQL, or R

Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)

Strong ability to communicate insights to executive-level stakeholders

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (analytics, communications, or similar)
