About the Role
We are seeking a visionary Director of Data Science to lead our Data Science practice within the AI Center of Excellence. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving the strategy, execution, and impact of data science initiatives across the organization. You will lead a high-performing team of data scientists, ML engineers, and data engineers to deliver cutting-edge solutions that leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI to solve complex business problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise-wide data science strategy in alignment with the overall AI CoE roadmap and business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data scientists, ensuring high standards of technical excellence, innovation, and delivery.
- Oversee the development and deployment of advanced predictive models, generative AI applications, causal inference frameworks, and optimization solutions.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering to identify high-impact opportunities and translate them into scalable data science solutions.
- Establish best practices for experimentation, model governance, MLOps, and responsible AI.
- Drive measurable business outcomes through data-driven insights and AI-powered products.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships for data science initiatives.
- Represent the Data Science team in executive discussions and AI governance forums.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 5-10 years of experience in data science and machine learning, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing teams.
- Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing data science organizations.
- Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, or generative AI.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms and modern MLOps tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
