We are on the lookout for an exceptional Director of Data Science who will be a founding member of the new AI4W Ecosystem analytics team. As a Director of Data Science, you will collaborate with cross-functional partners to tackle complex challenges using data-driven insights. You will play a vital role in shaping product strategies, identify new opportunities, and ensure that our products add real value to our users and the company. Your expertise will guide teams in data analysis, hypothesis development, and rigorous testing, allowing you to present clear insights that build credibility and drive decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and cross-functional teams to support and execute strategic investment decisions at Meta.
  • Contribute to the long-term vision and strategy for analytics methods to enhance the efficiency and quality of our platforms.
  • Work with engineers and fellow data scientists to improve AI development, automation, experimentation, and measurement systems.
  • Deepen your understanding of complex AI development systems and industry challenges to identify future opportunities and risks.
  • Lead and inspire a team of data scientists and managers, collaborating closely with other leaders across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience leading analytics initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and guiding data-driven product strategy.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including Engineering, Product Management, and Finance.
  • Strong framing and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field.
  • Experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, and experimentation methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize AI tools for optimizing workflows and achieving measurable impacts.
  • Experience with ethical AI practices, including risk assessment and bias mitigation.
  • Ongoing development in AI skills and knowledge of emerging technologies.

Public Compensation:

$253,000/year to $314,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
