At CPCQC we are on a mission to ensure that EVERY pregnant and postpartum person, infant, and their families in Colorado have access to and receive safe, equitable, high-quality care. This team is building new collaborations, expanding community connection to care, and driving state-wide maternal and infant health quality improvement initiatives.

Colorado Perinatal Care Quality Collaborative (CPCQC) is a statewide 501(c)3 nonprofit that works with healthcare facilities, community-based organizations, families in Colorado, and national partners to advance best practices to reduce disparities and improve outcomes in maternal and infant health.

Role Summary

The Director of Data Strategy & Analytics is a collaborative leadership role responsible for advancing CPCQC as a statewide data hub for maternal and infant health. This position leads the organizations quantitative and qualitative data, analytics, and evidence strategy, driving equity-centered approaches to support perinatal quality improvement and system-level impact.

The Director stewards CPCQCs data ecosystem to generate actionable insights, reduce reporting burden, and align infrastructure with evolving healthcare policy, technology, and quality frameworks. As a member of the Director-level Leadership Team, this role translates complex data, policy, and technology trends into practical, high-impact implementation across the organization and statewide.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, systems-oriented leader with expertise in data and public health. They bring a strong commitment to rigorous data integrity and the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable direction. With experience leading high-performing teams and managing cross-functional work, they pair strong planning and execution skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences, including healthcare leaders, policymakers, and partners.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the vision and execution of CPCQCs data strategy as a core organizational asset, emphasizing rigor, methodology, and value creation
  • Identify and advance high-impact opportunities in data integration, automation, and equity measurement
  • Translate emerging policy and data trends into actionable strategies that strengthen

CPCQCs statewide impact

Management and Data Infrastructure Governance

  • Lead, supervise, and develop a team of 2 (e.g., Data Program Manager and Data Analyst (detailed to CPCQC)), providing coaching, performance feedback, and growth opportunities.
  • Build data literacy across CPCQC by mentoring staff, designing accessible analytic resources, and supporting non-data colleagues in using data confidently in their
  • Foster an inclusive, equity-minded team culture and plan proactively for retention, cross-training, and
  • Oversee development of data products, analytic frameworks, and dashboards that demonstrate statewide impact and meet grant and program requirements
  • Govern data use agreements, data sharing strategy, and relationships with vendors, hospitals, and consultants
  • Manage the Data & Analytics budget in partnership with the Director of Operations and Finance

Reporting & Accountability

  • Oversee legislatively mandated reporting, including the annual statewide perinatal dataset and hospital engagement report
  • Support the research agenda and evidence dissemination portfolio in partnership with internal leadership
  • Establish and lead organizational KPIs and performance measurement systems to track impact, accountability, and progress
  • Support grant writing, funder reporting, and evaluation deliverables in partnership with the Director of Operations and program
  • Ensure research and evaluation activities adhere to IRB requirements and applicable research ethics

Key Internal Partnerships

  • Director of Quality Improvement: Shared measure development, hospital- and cohort- level dashboards, and data to guide QI
  • Director of Integrated Behavioral Health: Integration of clinical and community perinatal mental health measures into reporting and analytics. Shared community and outpatient measure development, dashboard management, and data to guide community and outpatient initiatives
  • Director of Operations: Budget and funding partnership, internal reporting cadence, and operational data needs.

External Partnerships & Leadership

  • Represent CPCQC across key state and national partners as part of the Director-level Leadership Team
  • Build and sustain strategic partnerships that expand CPCQCs influence and accelerate systems change
  • Serve as a spokesperson for data-driven, equity-centered maternal and infant health improvement
  • Use data to craft compelling narratives for a diverse set of audiences, including leader
