Job Description

We’re seeking a Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics leader to guide the next stage of a modern Microsoft-based data environment. This role is ideal for someone who can set strategy, improve data reliability, lead technical teams, and turn complex information into trusted business insights.

You’ll oversee Microsoft Fabric engineering, Power BI delivery, data governance, analytics enablement, and a small global team supporting enterprise reporting and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a multi-year Data & Analytics roadmap tied to business outcomes.
  • Improve Microsoft Fabric architecture, including Lakehouse, Pipelines, Notebooks, and semantic models.
  • Standardize data modeling, documentation, testing, deployment, and refresh processes.
  • Reduce manual reporting through automation using PySpark, Spark, and Fabric tools.
  • Establish monitoring, alerting, and data quality controls.
  • Lead Power BI dashboard development focused on executive-ready storytelling and usability.
  • Define consistent KPI logic and reporting standards across business functions.
  • Partner with leaders to translate business needs into scalable analytics products.
  • Identify opportunities for predictive analytics, including forecasting and lifecycle insights.
  • Manage and develop a 3–5 person global/offshore data team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years in data engineering, analytics, BI, or related data leadership.
  • Director-level ownership or equivalent scope.
  • Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience: Lakehouse, Pipelines, Notebooks, semantic models.
  • Fabric certification or formal Fabric training strongly preferred.
  • Strong PySpark and Spark-based transformation experience.
  • Strong Azure data services and modern data architecture knowledge.
  • Advanced Power BI dashboard development experience.
  • Experience with data storytelling, executive visualization, and UI/UX-focused reporting.
  • Proven ability to gather business requirements and convert them into analytics solutions.
  • Experience leading global or offshore teams.
  • Strong senior-stakeholder communication skills.
  • ERP data environment experience; Dynamics 365 preferred.
