About the Role:

As the Director of Infrastructure Engineering, you will significantly influence the technology that drives our global media company. In this executive-level role, you will lead a cross-functional team focused on designing, implementing, and supporting integrated systems that ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality media content. Your leadership will be vital in securing the performance, scalability, security, and resilience of our enterprise platforms, fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide dynamic leadership and vision to solution engineering teams, including Site Reliability, Storage, and Systems Engineering.
  • Establish strategic directions and operational goals that align with our technology vision and business success.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier talent across various engineering fields to build a high-performing team.
  • Oversee organizational design to adapt quickly to changing business needs and technology trends.
  • Drive the architecture and deployment of scalable solutions that power our production and content platforms.
  • Promote efficient CI/CD pipelines, along with on-premises and cloud-native services, enhancing automation and observability.
  • Collaborate with product engineering and systems engineering teams to improve operational readiness and achieve continuous improvement.
  • Set and operationalize engineering standards and KPIs focused on security, performance, and availability.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on platform health, risk management, and alignment of technical roadmaps.
  • Facilitate cross-functional engagement to ensure platform capabilities align with the evolving demands of our business units and customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of relevant experience in engineering and technology management.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading global, cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Strong skills in strategic vision and operational execution.
  • Expertise in scalable architecture and operational best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices, cloud-native systems, and automation technologies.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication abilities.
  • Proven leadership and talent development skills.
  • A track record of enhancing engineering processes and documentation.
  • Experience in managing third-party vendor relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in modernizing distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of security, performance, and availability protocols.
  • Experience in fostering a culture of software reusability and modularity.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA and Bristol, CT is $251,900.00 to $337,800.00 per year, and in New York, NY is $263,900.00 to $353,900.00 per year. The actual base pay will consider internal equity, geographic region, and the candidate's relevant skills and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be offered as part of the compensation, in addition to comprehensive medical and financial benefits.
