About this Position

One of our flagship offerings is our Fractional CIO & Advisory practice - an elite team of former CIOs and IT executives who guide organizations through IT strategy, business transformation, and value creation initiatives.

We are seeking a seasoned sales and growth professional to lead our Private Equity channel development for this practice. This high-impact role will be responsible for identifying, building, and nurturing relationships with Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies - driving growth for our Fractional CIO & Advisory practice and creating pathways to expand the broader Net at Work offering where appropriate.

The ideal candidate has held Director-level roles in consulting, business development, or IT leadership, with direct exposure to the Private Equity industry - whether by supporting PE-backed companies, working with or serving as an operating partner, or selling IT strategic services into the midmarket. They bring strong commercial acumen and the credibility to engage confidently with executives at both PE firms and portfolio companies.

An ideal candidate will also bring existing relationships with PE firms that invest in small to medium-sized businesses across industries such as manufacturing, distribution, professional services, and construction.

This is a remote position and requires up to 25% travel within the U.S.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish and grow relationships with PE firms, operating partners, and portfolio company executives.
  • Promote the value of our Fractional CIO & Advisory services - including digital transformation, software and vendor selection, IT leadership, and business process optimization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to PE firms and portfolio leadership, identifying opportunities to reduce risk, accelerate value creation, and modernize through technology.
  • Collaborate with internal delivery teams to align the right advisors with client opportunities.
  • Represent Net at Work at select industry events, PE networking functions, and portfolio company engagements.
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategy and refine positioning to align with evolving PE priorities.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, consulting, or advisory roles with strong exposure to the Private Equity space - or direct experience working in Private Equity.
  • Prior success in mid to senior-level sales or business development roles serving the Private Equity space.
  • Proven track record of selling or delivering high-value professional services (e.g., strategy, ERP, IT transformation, digital initiatives).
  • Strong understanding of how PE firms operate - including deal cycles, value creation planning, and portfolio support models.
  • Executive presence with excellent communication, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills.
  • Deep understanding of consulting, enterprise technology, and how to translate technical solutions into business outcomes.
  • Self-starter with the drive to build a new channel and scale it from the ground up.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $165,000 to $175,000.

This position is also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan.
