Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst | DMO Analytics Analyst

Work Arrangement: Remote; Must reside in Austin, TX

Employment Type: Contract / Contract-to-Hire

Pay: Up to $27/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across multiple business functions. This role will focus on developing, managing, and optimizing BI solutions while ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, deploy, and support BI platform applications while adhering to best practices
  • Design and configure front-end calculations based on business requirements
  • Translate stakeholder needs into scalable analytical and reporting solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data aligns with reporting and operational needs
  • Analyze business requirements and develop databases to support reporting and inventory tracking
  • Maintain and enforce data quality standards and validation controls
  • Perform regular testing, documentation, and data quality checks
  • Identify opportunities to reuse existing datasets and improve data efficiency
  • Analyze performance metrics including financial, operational, and customer satisfaction data
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Partner with functional teams to access and interpret data for strategic insights
  • Support reporting initiatives across multiple departments and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with:
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, Power Query, Macros, VBA)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Visio)
  • SQL (Structured Query Language)
  • BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Python (basic to intermediate proficiency)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Microsoft Certifications or equivalent technical credentials

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders

Nice to Have Experience

  • Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate
  • SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, and Forms
  • Project management tools such as Microsoft Project or equivalent

Pay: Up to $27.00 per hour
