Electrical Controls Engineer

Apollo Technical has an Immediate need for an Electrical/Controls Engineer in the Austin TX area.

Requirements:

Education: BS Engineering Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic.

Language: Advanced English. Italian is a plus.

Experience: 0-5 years Service Engineer working in Automotive Industry. Knowing how to read electrical diagrams, programming PLC‘s. Strong knowledge in automation process.

Competences Skills

Technical:

• Knowledge of Coil Winding and Automation Machinery required.
• Knowledge in pascal programming, C++ programming desired.
• Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers, such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Knowledge to understand servo motors, drives, encoders, proximity switches, solenoids and machine controls circuits.
• Must be able to read and decipher electrical schematics.
• Good knowledge mechanical concepts related to robotics/industrial machinery.
• Should be able to handle technical task independently and with Service Department (USA and Italy).

Administratives:

• Office (Microsoft, Word, Power Point).
• Contact management software (Lotus Note, ACT or similar).
• Advanced English.
• Willing to travel.
• Visa.

Analitic:

• Communication skills and problem solving.
• High level of learning.

Humans:

• Positive attitude towards change, open to continuous learning. Work

under pressure, self-control and proper handling of emotions.

Confidence in oneself, initiative and perseverance.

Job description

Perform electrical wiring and repairs to machines, including rewiring proximity switches, solenoids and install motors, drives,

into machine control panels. Camera and vision sensor programming, Epson robots, laser marking, welding. (Can bus

communication).

Assist with spare parts identification and shipment of spare parts.

Document and monitor open points of the machine.

Connect remotely to the machine and give remote solutions to the client.

Close communication with Italy and the US to provide solutions to complex machine problems.

• Job entails extensive travel within North America (USA, MX and Canadá at least 50% of the time, some travel to

Europe also possible).

• Position will be located Austin, Texas, United States.
• Remote work when not at the customer site.
• Open to add some additional tasks to be part of the job description.
