Key Responsibilities:
Lead design, development, and integration of electrical systems for battery and fuel cell applications
Define component specifications and work with vendors for subsystem integration
Design and validate electrical circuits (schematics, PCB layouts)
Develop prototypes, conduct testing, and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards
Diagnose and resolve system issues; optimize designs for manufacturing
Prepare technical documentation (design specs, test plans, reports)
Collaborate across teams (mechanical, software, testing)
Support functional safety activities (FMEDA, FTA, DFMEA)
Mentor junior engineers
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in electrical design, especially battery/fuel cell systems
Strong expertise in circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE)
Experience with CAD tools (Altium, OrCAD)
Knowledge of industry standards (UL, etc.)
Familiarity with battery systems in motive power applications
Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
10+ years of experience
Experience in automotive/industrial sectors
High-voltage system design (>60V)
Experience with BMS and fuel cell technologies
Familiarity with standards like UL 2267 / UL 2580
