Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the advanced manufacturing and industrial sector. In this role, you will be accountable for all aspects of electrical planning, design, engineering, and document preparation for various projects. Your expertise will also cover energy analysis, lighting design, cost/benefit assessments, and emergency generation solutions. You will report directly to the Director of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize your knowledge of building codes, materials, methods, and construction procedures to ensure compliance across all projects.
  • Oversee multiple projects from inception through to completion, focusing on design basis, specifications, and submittals.
  • Work collaboratively within a team, making informed decisions and driving initiatives across functions.
  • Prioritize and manage a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines.
  • Make independent yet informed decisions while adhering to general guidelines.
  • Exhibit strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor while engaging with clients, partners, and team members.
  • Successfully navigate demanding environments and manage concurrently running projects.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and deliver compelling presentations to clients.
  • Experience in higher education and light manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of lighting design techniques is an added advantage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • At least five years of experience in facility design.
  • Proficiency in power distribution, lighting design, communication systems, data centers, and existing building assessments.
  • A professional license is preferred.
  • Skills in Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and electrical engineering software like Easy Power are essential.
  • Work will be conducted primarily in an office environment, with field monitoring required under various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and adapt to schedules that may extend beyond regular office hours, depending on project demands.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to traverse construction sites at various stages of development.
  • Flexibility to work in outdoor environments and ensure effective monitoring during varying weather conditions.

Annual base compensation for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience.
