We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with 2–3 years of experience, with a strong emphasis on power system analysis and SCCAF (Short Circuit, Coordination, and Arc Flash) studies, to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in electrical power systems, experience with analysis software, and the ability to support design efforts on commercial and industrial projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Short Circuit, Protective Device Coordination, and Arc Flash (SCCAF) studies using SKM Power Tools or similar software
- Develop and validate system models, including utility sources, transformers, generators, and distribution equipment
- Interpret study results and provide clear, actionable recommendations for system protection and code compliance
- Generate and format detailed arc flash labels and technical reports for client deliverables
- Coordinate with design engineers to ensure alignment between study models and construction documents
- Support electrical design efforts using Revit and AutoCAD as needed
- Assist in automating workflows and improving study/report efficiency using Excel, VBA, or scripting tools
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems or studies
- Hands-on experience performing SCCAF studies using SKM Power Tools (or ETAP/EasyPower)
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems, protective devices, and the National Electrical Code
- Ability to analyze results and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is a plus
- Experience with Excel, VBA, or scripting tools (JavaScript, Python, or Dynamo) is a plus
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality
