Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with 2–3 years of experience, with a strong emphasis on power system analysis and SCCAF (Short Circuit, Coordination, and Arc Flash) studies, to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in electrical power systems, experience with analysis software, and the ability to support design efforts on commercial and industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Short Circuit, Protective Device Coordination, and Arc Flash (SCCAF) studies using SKM Power Tools or similar software
  • Develop and validate system models, including utility sources, transformers, generators, and distribution equipment
  • Interpret study results and provide clear, actionable recommendations for system protection and code compliance
  • Generate and format detailed arc flash labels and technical reports for client deliverables
  • Coordinate with design engineers to ensure alignment between study models and construction documents
  • Support electrical design efforts using Revit and AutoCAD as needed
  • Assist in automating workflows and improving study/report efficiency using Excel, VBA, or scripting tools

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems or studies
  • Hands-on experience performing SCCAF studies using SKM Power Tools (or ETAP/EasyPower)
  • Strong understanding of electrical power systems, protective devices, and the National Electrical Code
  • Ability to analyze results and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is a plus
  • Experience with Excel, VBA, or scripting tools (JavaScript, Python, or Dynamo) is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality
