This role offers an on-site schedule with some flexibility and is located near Rochester, MI.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead the design, development, and validation of electrical and electromechanical systems for advanced automotive products
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for internal teams, customers, and suppliers regarding motors, electronics, and control systems
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams across North America, Europe, and Asia to align product requirements and launch timelines
  • Develop system specifications, testing plans, and performance requirements to ensure successful product delivery
  • Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for plant, supplier, and customer-related issues
  • Manage engineering changes, product updates, and bill of material revisions throughout the product lifecycle
  • Review and interpret circuit boards, schematics, and communication protocols to support system functionality
  • Coordinate with suppliers and external testing facilities to validate designs and meet program milestones
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, performance, and cost efficiency

What We Need From You

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in automotive electrical or electromechanical systems
  • Strong knowledge of DC motors, controllers, and embedded electronics
  • Ability to read schematics, PCB layouts, and engineering drawings
  • Experience supporting product launches, testing, and validation activities
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and globally
