Electrical Engineer – Controls Designer – Combustion Equipment – Austin, TX – $110,000

Are you an electrical or controls engineer who wants to be hands-on, own designs end-to-end, and help shape products in a fast-growing engineering environment? This is an opportunity to join a small, high-impact combustion equipment organization in growth mode, where you’ll work closely with engineering leadership, support real-world manufacturing, and play a critical role in scaling the controls function.

Who you are:

3+ years of experience in electrical, controls, or instrumentation design

Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control panels, and P&ID diagrams

Experience creating I/O lists, control narratives, and helping devices communicate within control systems

Background or exposure to combustion, oil & gas, industrial equipment, or EPC environments

What you’ll do:

Design, test, and troubleshoot control systems for combustion-related equipment such as flares and oxidizers

Develop electrical and controls documentation, including schematics, narratives, and I/O lists

Support manufacturing, new product development, and vendor selection with hands-on technical expertise

Act as a key technical resource across projects, partnering closely with PMs and engineering leadership

What does this position pay?

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.

The expected range for this role is $90,000–$110,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
