Job Description

Auriga is developing novel electromagnetic launch technology for on-demand orbital access. Our system replaces the first stage of a traditional rocket with a ground-based(HWND) accelerator, drastically reducing costs and enabling rapid, reusable launch capabilities. We work at the intersection of aerospace, advanced power electronics, and control systems to deliver new_Formalities toward space and defense.

Role Summary: We are looking for an electrical engineer to join our team and help drive hardware projects through their life cycle: starting with requirements generation, concept development, detail design, manufacturing, and finally testing and commissioning. The ideal candidate will thrive in a start‑up environment and be excited to work with a small, high‑performing, and hands‑on team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in an equivalent or related type of work
  • Solid foundation in: Power and energy conversion principles; Electric circuit theory (AC and DC, steady‑state and transient response); Analog electronics; Semiconductor devices (bipolar transistors, diodes, MOSFETs); microcontroller experience is a plus
  • High level of skill with standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes; experience with spectrum analyzers and advanced lab equipment is a plus
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to apply fundamental concepts to practical engineering challenges
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a hands‑on environment

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior engineers to design, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits and systems
  • Support prototyping and lab experiments in power electronics and analog systems
  • Participate in technical discussions, contribute ideas, and apply academic knowledge to practical projects
  • Document work clearly and effectively for internal use and future development
  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
