Location

This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Cape Canaveral FL and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. Please note we will not provide relocation services for this position.

What does this role look like?

The new Hardware Engineer will support the LE2 program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong electrical engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM.

Key Activities Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment in support of the US Navy’s Ballistic Missile Flight Test Program. Create/update project/process documentation that align to project requirements. Develop drawings/schematics for ground support equipment for Pad Launch. Support the design, build, test and verification of our automated test systems, including data review and trending. Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to all locally assigned support equipment test systems. Interface with suppliers and internal design teams to provide cost effective and low risk solutions. Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design and business teams, vendors and customers. Support, as required, Failure Review Board activities through closure. Ability to travel and work at alternate work sites as required, less than 25%. Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience for this role. Hands on experience designing, building, and testing electrical hardware for aerospace or defense applications (ATE, flight test equipment, or similar). Experience with pad launch systems. Must obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance; US Citizenship is required. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education. Hardware development experience. Experience with interconnect design. Experience in one or more of the following: Creo, Windchill, Zuken, Pspice. Experience leading project teams and development efforts. Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement). Issue Tracking experience. Desired Skills Strong technical background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or other similar systems. Capability to lead a team responsible for development and test of integrated test systems, and experience as Subject Matter Engineer or equivalent. Experience with launch systems. Experience with Telemetry Data Processing (TDP). Experience working with RF. Experience reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentations. Experience troubleshooting System level. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure. Security Clearance

Top Secret clearance required. Must be a US Citizen.

Work Schedule

Flexible 9x80 schedule; schedule for this position: 9x80 every other Friday off.
