Electrical Engineer (7–12 Years) – Austin, Texas

The Opportunity

We are working with a privately held engineering consultancy expanding its electrical engineering capability in Austin. This position suits an experienced engineer who enjoys hands-on design work while collaborating within a multidisciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

•

Design electrical power, lighting, and associated systems for a range of building projects

•

Prepare technical drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports

•

Coordinate designs with internal engineering disciplines and external partners

•

Apply national and local electrical codes throughout the design process

•

Provide technical input and informal mentoring to junior engineers

•

Support project delivery through client and contractor coordination

Background & Experience

•

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

•

7–12 years of professional electrical engineering experience within an established AEC firm - need to have experience in a consulting or design environments - this is a must.

•

EIT certification required; Professional Engineer registration preferred

•

Strong working knowledge of US electrical codes and standards

•

Experience using industry-standard design and analysis tools

•

Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
