Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)
We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to power systems — making a real impact on the future of intelligent technology.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed to fit around your existing schedule.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design Technical Challenges — Craft advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, and electromagnetics to rigorously test AI performance
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop precise, step-by-step solutions and benchmark responses that AI systems use as the gold standard for learning
- Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, and others)
- Improve AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors and flawed assumptions in AI-generated engineering reasoning, then provide structured, actionable feedback to improve model performance
- Stress-Test Model Limits — Probe AI systems on topics like embedded systems, control systems, VLSI, and simulations to expose failure modes and help harden model reasoning
Who You Are
- Currently pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong foundational expertise in one or more core domains — VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or similar
- Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and concisely in written English
- Exceptionally precise when working with mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
- Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on your own schedule
- No prior AI or machine learning experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or quality evaluation systems
- Familiarity with engineering simulation tools or hardware description languages
- Background in reviewing or authoring technical documentation to professional standards
Why Join Us
