We’re looking for an Electrical Engineering Professional who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you will have the chance to work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing and other state of the art manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will be located in Moon Township, PA, but there is geographic flexibility for well-qualified candidates located near a Jacobs US office.

As an Electrical Engineering Professional, you will be accountable for schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget and schedule for assigned tasks. You’ll effectively recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly. You will provide assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will produce installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting, and power plants.  Your role keeps our company connected and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 4 years of engineering experience in building electrical systems  
  • Experience with power system software (preferably ETAP)
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) & IEEE standards
  • Understanding of electrical power system equipment/components, such as switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams 
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role

Ideally, you’ll also have 

  • At least one year of design experience for semiconductors, data centers, or mission critical facilities
  • Medium Voltage (MV) design experience
  • Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  
  • Team leadership and client interaction experience

The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $132,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
