About the Job

  • Develop expertise in power systems, Protection, and all related products.
  • Assist customers in applying products through visits, demonstrations, training courses, and telephone contact.
  • Provide solutions to a wide variety of increasingly difficult problems with imaginative, thorough, and practical approaches. Independently support customers in at least two knowledge areas of your specialization field.
  • Contribute to product specifications, application/testing software, and literature creation.
  • Participate in and present at marketing and sales activities, industry technical meetings, and conferences.
  • Teach university courses within your core area.
  • Publish multiple application guides, notes, template guides, software tools, and technical conference papers.
  • Provide assistance on products and applications to engineers, associates, and interns.
  • Regularly contribute to the customer feedback process, FAQs, IMI teams, and improvement of training material. Identify WCM initiatives and lead efforts to enhance them.
  • Adhere to and apply company Values, Principles of Operations, and World-Class Manufacturing principles.
  • Follow the principles: Understand, Create, Simplify.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent engineering degree)
  • Typically, 6+ years of experience in power systems, industry practices, and protection.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent technical training, speaking, writing, and customer service skills.
  • Strong communicator who actively seeks ways to improve customer experience.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and encourage others, gaining their confidence and trust easily.
  • Skilled in planning, instruction, and leadership to successfully carry out tasks.
  • Models high standards of honesty and integrity.
  • Capable of learning new skills and taking on new responsibilities.
  • Proficient in selecting, applying, and teaching principles, theories, and concepts in your specialization field.
  • Satisfactory background check results.
  • Negative drug test result(s).
