Electrical I&C Engineer - Nuclear

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear engineering and a passion for developing cutting-edge electrical systems and solutions. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, innovative thinking, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Lead the design and development of electrical systems for nuclear power plants, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage electrical engineering projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all electrical systems and components adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, project managers, and safety officers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Innovation: Stay current with advancements in nuclear and electrical engineering technologies, applying innovative solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and maintenance manuals.
- Training and Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in the nuclear industry, with a strong understanding of nuclear power plant operations and safety protocols.
- Professional Engineer (PEng) license.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NEC, NRC).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
