We are looking for a motivated Electrical Intern to support our engineering team in the development, testing, and troubleshooting of robotic systems. This role is suitable for students who enjoy hands-on engineering work and want practical exposure to robotics, electrical wiring, battery systems, chargers, and new product development.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and integration of new robotic products and electrical subsystems.
- Assist in electrical wiring, cable routing, connector preparation, and harness assembly.
- Perform battery and charger testing, including basic performance checks, charging tests, and data
- recording.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues on robotic platforms, including power, signal, and communication-related faults.
- Assist engineers in setting up test equipment, conducting functional tests, and documenting test results.
- Support prototype build, modification, and improvement activities.
- Work closely with mechanical, software, and electrical engineers during system integration and testing.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience working on robotics, automation, or embedded system projects is preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring, circuits, batteries, chargers, sensors, and power distribution systems.
- Comfortable with hands-on work, including wiring, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Able to read basic electrical schematics or wiring diagrams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly share test results, issues, and progress updates with engineers and team members.
- Good problem-solving attitude and willingness to learn.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with mobile robots, AGVs, AMRs, UAVs, or similar robotic platforms.
- Familiarity with multimeters, power supplies, battery chargers, oscilloscopes, or other basic test equipment.
- Knowledge of CAN bus, serial communication, or embedded systems would be an advantage.
- Experience with CAD, electrical design tools, or documentation tools is a plus.
