PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a world-renowned aerospace leader to hire an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer supporting cutting-edge work within Test & Evaluation (BT&E). Role Summary & Impact

As an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer, you will take ownership of the build plan—ensuring that every step of the manufacturing process aligns with engineering design, safety standards, and production goals. You’ll play a critical role in translating complex designs into efficient, executable manufacturing processes that support wire shops, systems integration, and test labs.

Your work will directly influence production quality, cost efficiency, and schedule performance—helping deliver high-performance aerospace systems that meet the industry’s most rigorous standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated manufacturing build plans, including work instructions, tooling, kitting, and inspection requirements
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to align cross-functional technical solutions
  • Perform Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis to improve producibility and efficiency
  • Analyze and validate design/build concepts to ensure manufacturability and compliance
  • Identify and resolve complex technical issues impacting cost, schedule, or performance
  • Conduct producibility assessments to ensure manufacturing capabilities meet design requirements
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Create and refine manufacturing plans to support production readiness
  • Collaborate with Supplier Management to support lab testing and integration requirements
  • Document best practices and contribute to long-term process improvements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
  • Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical manufacturing processes and assembly sequencing
  • Experience working within structured manufacturing systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role
  • Experience leading projects or cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with aerospace, space, or military electronics systems
  • Experience with manufacturing tools such as PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, or GOLDesp
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
