Description:

  • Design and develop automated test solutions for consumer phased arrays, Wi-Fi routers, power supplies, and upcoming products.
  • Select commercial off-the-shelf hardware or design custom PCBAs to measure signals, apply loads, and power units under test.
  • Write Python automation software to interface with devices under test, test equipment, instrumentation, field data, and production documentation systems.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and test lab teams to improve product reliability, yield, and test coverage.
  • Provide feedback to responsible teams to drive design or infrastructure improvements.
  • Support development, production, and reliability test solution design, implementation, and verification.
  • Challenge assumptions and identify simple solutions to complex problems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in hardware development or electronics test engineering; internship and extracurricular experience count.
  • 1+ years of programming experience.
  • Experience analyzing circuits and developing functional test plans, preferred.
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting PCBAs, preferred.
  • Experience with test equipment and measurement techniques such as oscilloscope, multimeter, electronic load, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, vector signal generator, and source measurement unit, preferred.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics and electronics manufacturing to analyze and improve test coverage, preferred.
  • Understanding of metrology, measurement error, and uncertainty analysis, preferred.
  • Experience developing object-oriented software, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Python, C, or C++, preferred.
  • Experience with environmental testing such as HALT/HASS, thermal, vibration, and TVAC, preferred.
  • Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission-critical deadlines.
  • Must meet ITAR requirements as a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise be eligible for required U.S. State Department authorization.
