We are representing a
leading global fund
looking to hire an experienced
Portfolio Manager
or
Trader
to run an
Emerging Market credit strategy
across
corporates and sovereign bonds
in London. This is a key role focused on driving performance through detailed analysis and active trading across global EM markets.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating alpha across
Investment Grade
and
High Yield
credit emerging markets for various hedge fund strategies, including
CEEMEA, LATAM, and APAC
. You will use both fundamental and relative value analysis to manage a diverse book.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Create and execute investment ideas across Bonds and CDS.
- Broad Market Coverage: Trade corporate bonds, sovereigns, quasi-sovereigns, and SSAs.
- Risk Management: Manage a book within set limits while coordinating with the central risk team.
- Portfolio Strategy: Develop trading strategies through RV and fundamental views
- Team Collaboration: Work with research analysts, traders, and other PMs to share insights and use firm resources.
- Market Monitoring: Stay on top of macro trends, sector shifts, and specific company factors that impact credit.
- Internal Support: Work with infrastructure teams on execution, compliance, and operations.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for an individual with a successful track record managing risk in EM credit. You should have experience in a long/short strategy at a hedge fund, credit fund, asset manager, or a top sell-side desk.
- Proven Results: A history of generating alpha in both IG and HY EM credit.
- Strong Skills: Deep experience in fundamental credit analysis and portfolio construction.
- Collaborative Style: The ability to manage a book effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with risk systems and disciplined investment processes.
- Experience: Significant background in credit investment roles with direct experience running risk.
