Responsibilities: Analyze energy market data (e.g., power, natural gas, oil, renewables) to identify trading opportunities. Monitor market trends, news, and economic indicators that may impact energy prices. Develop and maintain financial models for price forecasting and risk assessment. Support traders in the execution of trading strategies and position management. Evaluate counterparty risk and ensure compliance with trading policies. Prepare regular market reports and presentations for management and trading desks. Collaborate with risk management teams to monitor and report on portfolio risk exposures. Utilize trading platforms and analytical software to optimize trading decisions. Contribute to the development of new trading strategies and methodologies. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy trading, market analysis, or a related role. Strong understanding of energy markets and their associated drivers. Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel VBA, Python, R).
