What You Will Do
- Maintain, improve, and ensure the validity of critical master and reference data by identifying and resolving data gaps, inconsistencies, and integration issues in collaboration with IRM teams to support integrity management and sound decision-making.
- Assist with records management activities for digs, inspection runs, repairs, and Quality Assurance / Control documentation to maintain traceability back to physical assets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on the development of data quality rules, validations checks, and automated data health routines to ensure acceptance criteria can be applied to IRM datasets.
- Learn pipeline and facility integrity threat identification techniques for threat management programs to assist planning inspections, mitigations, and repairs to keep assets compliant and safe.
- Advance utilization of unified data analytics platform to support preparation of audit-ready datasets that can be traced, explained, and reproduced.
- Support the design of well-structured integrity data schemas while promoting enterprise-aligned data governance best practices and continuous data quality improvement.
- Help establish or transform integrity management data sets to integrate into future machine learning platforms and enable decision making processes and effectiveness.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a focus on data / computer science, geomatics / GIS, or a closely related discipline.
- Up to 2 years of previous related experience, post university graduation.
- Foundational understanding or strong interest in integrity management concepts, asset lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in at least one area including data analytics and reporting, working with structured datasets, enabling operational or engineering decisions through data, or building tools to improve and automate workflows.
- Experience in a scripting language, SQL fundamentals (querying, joins, filtering, aggregations), visualization tools, application programing interface (API), and building automations is an asset.
- Certification in data & analytics (e.g., Azure Data Fundamentals, Databricks Data Engineer Associate, or Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate) is preferred.
Working Conditions
Office environment with limited travel (<5%) to other Enbridge offices, site visits, or industry conferences.
- Ability to travel throughout North America and have a valid passport is required.
- Requires system thinking and managing timelines to achieve objectives with limited information.
Physical Requirements Include But Are Not Limited To
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
