The role focus on operations & maintenance of the client's submarine cable systems to ensure the delivery of optimal quality & providing continuity of traffic and deliver colo customers’ facilities and interconnection requests.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee the implementation of telecommunications system in the client's cable landing station.
  • Work as a team member to operate and maintain telecommunications equipment and submarine cable communication systems in the cable station.
  • Test, implement, and troubleshoot submarine cable communication equipment and links.

Develops and administers the operation procedures for cable station, consortia equipment, co-location and interconnection.

  • 24 x 7 standby with on call duties for cable station operations requirement, submarine cable systems (dry and wet segment) fault localizations and fault repair supports and coordination.
  • Oversee and provide support on the implementation of M&E, building facilities, outside plant infrastructure systems in the cable station
  • On-board representatives on vessel for submarine cable projects or repairs.
  • Manage and deliver equipment room facilities request to ensure efficient planning and allocation of floor space and power in the cable station.
  • Oversee and provide support on the implementation of colocation projects in the cable station.
  • Ensure all equipment room interconnection requests are met, including cabling, fiber patching and troubleshooting activities in the cable station.
  • Manage co-location customers’ site access and security.
  • Maintain and update documentation of all submarine cable facilities, test equipment and spare plants including colocation customers’ colocation facilities and interconnection services in the cable station.
  • Assist in the submarine cable and equipment room projects site survey/inspection, installation, and commissioning.

What You Will Bring:

  • Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/ Communication Engineering
  • Preferably with 1-2 years relevant experience in implementation, operations & maintenance of the client's submarine cable systems
  • Team player, self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong analytical, project management, system testing and problem-solving skills
  • Able to perform shift duty and 24x7 standby with on call duty
  • Open to fresh graduates
