Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Management Manager to support the continued build-out and execution of HODLife’s enterprise risk management framework as the business progresses toward graduation and beyond.
This role will be instrumental in supporting the Chief Risk Officer in the ongoing delivery of risk oversight, monitoring, governance, and audit-related responsibilities across the company. The Enterprise Risk Management Manager will work closely with the Chief Risk Officer and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that key risk deliverables are met for both internal and external stakeholders, while helping strengthen the company’s risk infrastructure in a growing and regulated insurance environment.
Given the nature of the role, prior experience in enterprise risk management within insurance, financial services, or another regulated environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Risk Management & Monitoring
- Support the ongoing execution and enhancement of the company’s Enterprise Risk Management framework in alignment with internal governance standards and regulatory expectations.
- Perform quantitative risk assessments, including stochastic modeling, scenario analysis, and stress testing to measure our capital adequacy and risk appetite.
- Lead the technical oversight of ALM and BSCR frameworks, ensuring that risk metrics are robustly integrated with actuarial projections and financial reporting.
- Maintain and update risk registers, risk dashboards, incident logs, and supporting management information for internal governance and reporting purposes.
Risk Governance & Reporting
- Synthesize complex actuarial and financial data into actionable risk dashboards and committee materials that drive strategic capital allocation.
- Assist the Chief Risk Officer in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of risk-related submissions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with business, finance, operations, compliance, and technology teams to gather information and support risk reporting and follow-up actions.
- Help ensure that risk governance processes remain fit for purpose as the company scales beyond graduation.
Audit, Controls & Assurance
- Support the annual delivery of audit activities associated with cyber risk and other risk-related areas.
- Track audit findings, management actions, and remediation items to ensure timely follow-up and closure.
- Assist in the documentation and review of risk policies, frameworks, controls, and supporting procedures.
- Work with internal stakeholders to strengthen controls, improve risk awareness, and embed sound risk practices across the organisation.
Strategic Risk Support
- Partner with the Chief Risk Officer and senior stakeholders on risk-related initiatives, projects, and framework development.
- Support the continued development of scalable risk processes and infrastructure suitable for a high-growth insurance business.
- Contribute to ad hoc risk projects and cross-functional initiatives as required.
Requirements
Professional Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in actuarial modeling, financial risk management, or quantitative risk analysis.
- Experience within insurance, reinsurance, financial services, or another regulated environment is strongly preferred.
- Exposure to one or more of the following areas would be highly advantageous:
- Enterprise Risk Management
- ALM
- BSCR or capital / solvency risk
- Liquidity risk
- Cyber risk
- Audit and control testing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional qualifications or progress toward such qualifications would be an advantage.
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk management principles, governance frameworks, and risk reporting.
- Ability to analyse risk issues, organise information clearly, and produce high-quality documentation and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deliverables in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to operate in a startup / fast-growing environment, building processes and supporting framework development from the ground up.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work effectively across functions and jurisdictions.
- Deep understanding of insurance capital regimes (e.g., BSCR/Solvency II).
- Proficiency in quantitative modeling tools (e.g., R, Python, SQL, or specialized
