Entry Level Electrical Engineer

MDP Engineering Group is looking to hire an entry-level Electrical Engineer for commercial MEP design projects, including office, retail, restaurant, hospitality, and multi-family residential.

The position requires strong technical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Specific job duties will include:

Commercial power-distribution system one-line diagrams, fault-current calculations, protective device series rating and selective coordination, lighting controls, photometric calculations, and lighting/power circuiting design.

Participation in the planning, development, and preparation of construction documents.

Conduct field surveys, engineering calculations, and assessments of existing building electrical systems.

Interface with clients on a regular basis.

Qualified candidate will possess the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.

Knowledge of building, energy, and electrical codes.

Experience with LEED Certified projects.

Proficient with AutoCAD, Visual and some REVIT experience.

Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Ability to work independently and prioritize workload and projects.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
